The Dream Journal – March 2019

Hello!

There often comes a point during winter in New England where it feels like you’ve had one too many frigid days or one too many snowstorms, and you start contemplating how you might escape to someplace warm. In past years, we’ve gone south toward Florida. This year, we’re going south and west.

We would much rather be singing than shoveling, and so we’re starting our month at 5000 Burnet in Austin, TX on Friday, March 8th. 5000 Burnet is a premier food trailer park offering 10+ food trailers, making it easy for everyone to find something to eat. The kids can play safely in a fenced-in playscape while the parents enjoy some of Austin’s best food trailers, as well as a bit of music by us! We’ll be playing 7-9pm.

The following Sunday, March 10th, we head just a little further north to Roots Bistro in Georgetown, TX. Here we’ll join our friend Alex Winters for an evening of music together. Alex connects with her audience by telling stories of everyday life that they can relate to. Everyone understands love, loss, desire, abandonment and hope. Alex seems to have the ability to put herself in different situations and walk through them, telling the tale of how she would react through her songs. We’re looking forward to sharing the evening with her from 7-9pm.

Somewhere on the road between Austin, TX and Phoenix, AZ, we’ll offer up an online concert via Concert Window on Tuesday, March 19 from 8-9pm Eastern time. Kick off your shoes, curl up with your favorite beverage, tune in to http://www.concertwindow.com/danandfaith and see how far we’ve traveled. We might even be able to figure out what time it is in Phoenix by then! We’ll share some tales from the road and some of our music.

Since we started performing, we’ve dreamed of the day when we could make the trek out to the west coast to play. On Saturday, March 30th, we fulfill that dream, starting with playing live on the Saturday Morning Folk Show on KDVS between 9am and noon PDT (that’s noon-3pm EDT) with DJ Bill Wagman. Tune in locally in the San Francisco Bay area at 90.3FM, or online at https://kdvs.org. Many thanks to DJ Robyne Fox for setting this up!

The dream continues later on Saturday, March 30th with a house concert in Berkeley, CA, starting at 7pm. We hope to see friends from the San Francisco Bay area! Contact us directly (reply to this email or call us at 603-826-6707) to reserve a seat and get details on the exact location.

While we’re out on the road, our friend Dan Tappan is guest hosting the Serendipity Songwriter Showcase at the Serendipity Cafe in Maynard, MA on Wednesday, March 13th. Dan’s guest songwriters this month are Paul Driscoll and Rupert Wates. The topic, as chosen by February’s audience, is “A Little More“. Stop in, listen to some great original songs, eat tasty food, and help choose the song topic for April’s songwriters. Music runs 7:30-9:30pm.

Our CDs Seeking and Simple Grace are available from us at our shows, on our website, or you can find them at CD Baby, iTunes and most other online music stores.

As always, you can find additional schedule information on our website, https://www.danandfaith.com. For more frequent news updates and information, check out our Facebook fan page and follow us on Twitter (@danandfaith).
