New Year’s Needham

New Year’s Eve is just around the corner. In many cities and towns across the country, there are celebrations of the arts. In some places, it’s called First Night. In the town of Needham, Massachusetts, it’s called New Year’s Needham. The celebration in Needham is in several venues around the town center. Outdoors there will be ice sculpture. Indoors, marionettes, music and dance.

We’ve been involved in one way or another for the last several years. We’ve played as part of our friend Jerry Wasserman’s band, and more recently had our own performance slots for our Dan & Faith duo act. This year we’re only doing our duo thing, but expect to be in the audience for lots of our friends who are playing.

We play at 6PM at the Christian Science Church sanctuary. Come early, though and catch our friend Beth DeSombre at 4PM, and our friends Kirsten & Dave at 5PM. After we play, catch Carolyn Waters at 7PM, then pop over to the Unitarian Church and catch Jerry Wasserman at 8PM. It promises to be a great evening!
