May opened with us hosting Pete Kennedy for a house concert and workshop. Things never really slowed down the whole month. We had a lot of studio time, continuing to fill in tracks on various songs. Near the end of the month we hosted Siobhán Quinn & Michael Bowers for a few workshops and a stunning concert. And on Memorial Day, we hosted a jam/potluck for friends and fellow musicians. A great month all around.
We had a very busy month of April with shows of our own, hosting house concerts, open mikes, going to friends’ shows and open mikes. May is a month for planting in the garden and getting ready for summer shows.
On May 19th, we host the monthly Bolton Library Unplugged open mike. This is developing into a nice community of local musicians. We take turns playing a few songs for the first round, then form a circle and play some more until it’s time to close up the building. Some great music has been made, and we look forward to another session this month.
On May 22nd, we host Siobhan Quinn & Michael Bowers for a house concert at our place. This promises to be another wonderful night of music. We’ll also have workshops going on, as Siobhan is a wonderful voice instructor, and Michael teaches songwriting. Come join us to listen, learn or both.
