The Dream Journal – April 2017

Hello!

We’re hoping Mother Nature has gotten the last of the snow out of her system, and that we might actually start moving toward spring. We’re certainly ready for it! There has been a large flock of fat robins poking at the bare spots between the snowbanks in our back yard over the last several days, so that’s certainly a good sign. The large flock of turkeys, well, they’re just amusing.

Come out to Serendipity Cafe in Maynard, MA on Wednesday, April 12th for the Serendipity Songwriter Sessions. We’re joined this month by Paul Rogoshewski (PJ Rogue) and Rob Lytle. Our topic this month, chosen by our March audience, is “Summer Dreams”. Stop by, have dinner, enjoy some tasty baked goods, listen to wonderful original music by terrific songwriters, and help choose the topic for May’s musicians. The music runs 7:30-9:30pm. Many thanks to Laura & Johnny at Serendipity Cafe for all their support!

We’re back at the Bolton Public Library in Bolton, MA on Tuesday, April 18th for the Bolton Public Library Unplugged open mike. We start with a 2-song formal first round, then we pull the chairs into a circle and jam until we’re out of songs, out of steam, or tossed out by the cleaning crew! Want to share a new song about April showers? a poem about April in Paris? Or just looking for a place to show off your new Easter bonnet while you listen to good tunes? Stop by! Music starts at 7pm. Piano players — please contact us directly if you wish to play, and we’ll be sure to bring a keyboard.

Over the weekend of Saturday & Sunday, April 22nd-23rd, GoGirls Music and the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance will be presenting the Ladies In The House Online Music Festival via Concert Window. A series of acts promoting women in music will be performing around the US across the two days, all via internet. The schedule is still being finalized, but we’ll be taking part in the fun! We’ll send out an update and a pointer to the schedule as soon as we know the details.

Our CDs Seeking and Simple Grace are available from us at our shows, on our website, or you can find them at CD Baby, iTunes and most other online music stores. Seeking has been specially mastered for iTunes, which gives higher fidelity over standard iTunes recordings.

As always, you can find additional schedule information on our website, https://www.danandfaith.com. For more frequent news updates and information, check out our Facebook fan page and follow us on Twitter (@danandfaith).

There’s local music everywhere, if you know where to look. And if you’re convinced there isn’t any, why not start something? If you build it, they will come.
