Summertime at the Old Manse

In 1775, shots were fired at the Old North Bridge, in Concord. The fight for independence started here. Steps away, a house known as The Old Manse was born a revolution in American philosophy, thanks to Emerson, Thoreau, and Hawthorne. Today the Old Manse is a museum, welcoming visitors from around the world. These historic sites are today a popular destination for tourists and locals, a place for a picnic lunch, a bike ride, or a kayak trip on the Concord River.

In the summer time, The Old Manse hosts a music series, featuring local musicians and held under a large tent. It’s always a delightful time. On Sunday, August 7th, we will be playing a show and have invited our friend Chris Gerstner to join us. The three of us have teamed up in the past for three-part harmony and always have a great time together. Chris writes wonderful songs that are exceptionally well crafted. Some will bring you to tears, others have you sporting a huge grin.

We hope you’ll come join us for an afternoon of music, and also to explore the history of the place. We’ll play from 2PM until 4PM. Address is 269 Monument Street, Concord, MA.

Furey’s Cafe in Lowell

We’re off to Lowell on Sunday, July 31st, to play at Furey’s Cafe. It’s a cool little bar that’s doing live music. They’ve put together a three-day showcase during the Lowell Folk Festival to help showcase local and regional talent. We’re delighted to play at 1PM, and hope to also catch friends playing later in the day. Lots of shows coming up over the next month, and we’ll do our best to keep up with letting everyone know.
