The Dream Journal – November 2025

Hello!

November is one of those months that feels very much “in between”. It’s not quite winter yet, but the fall foliage has faded and the garden is mostly done (give or take the kale, which is hardy stuff). The first cold winds start coming down from the north, and we start eyeing our winter parkas, but the sun still feels warm on our backs when we’re out walking. We set the clocks back to standard time, the late afternoon darkness tempting us with dreams of hibernation. But there’s music to be made, and places to go!

We start the month at the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) Conference in Albany, NY this coming Thursday, November 6th through Sunday, November 9th. We’ll be hosting the 55+ affinity group (a discussion group for “well-seasoned folkies”) on Saturday and an hour of the Local 1000 Showcase Free Zone Saturday night (theme for our hour: Songs that champion marginalized groups), as well as playing in several late night showcases throughout the weekend. If you’ll be there, give us a shout! We would love to meet up.

Even after living up here in New Hampshire for more than 8 years, we’re still discovering new-to-us venues near home. On Saturday, November 22nd, we’re playing for the first time at the New American Grill in Londonderry, VT. Nestled in the heart of southern Vermont, the New American Grill advertises themselves as offering “Vermont Soul, World Flavor”. We’re on from 6-9pm. Come have dinner and a beverage, and hang out with us!

We’re in the process of putting together our schedule for 2026 now. Got a local venue you think would welcome our music? Interested in hosting a house concert, or have friends who might be willing to do so? If you’re curious about how to get started with a house concert, we can help. Drop us a note, and let’s talk!

Anyone else find that the change in the clocks does weird things to your time sense? The extra hour of sleep is nice, if you can sleep. Or maybe it’s just one more hour to be awake at night. If that’s the case, let Faith’s song Another Round Of Insomnia keep you company.

Our albums Who We Are, Then and Now, Seeking, and Simple Grace are available from us at shows and on our website, through Bandcamp, or you can find them at iTunes and most other online music stores. Our music is also available streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.

As always, you can find additional schedule information on our website. For additional content, follow us on Patreon. For more frequent news updates and information, check out our Facebook fan page.

As we approach Thanksgiving, we want you to know that we are thankful for YOU!
